INSTALACIÓN DE PUERTAS Y VENTANAS
All window and door jambs are solid grouted the same as if Standard CMU were used. Therefore, standard masonry window and door installation techniques should be followed. Whatever installation detailing that would be required in a particular geographic area or code requirement situation for standard CMU, the same would be followed for the installation in Omni Block CMU.
The photos below show the similarities between Omni Block and standard CMU.
Omni block appears to look like standard CMU when as it is installed.
Glass block is installed in Omni Bock the same as it would be if the building was standard CMU.
Windows are installed by first removing any flanges or fins from the window. The use of a Tapcon masonry screw is recommended (after the corresponding hole is drilled into the jamb block) to mount window into opening as shown.
